Joy of Freedom Festival

May 21, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 7:30 pm AKDT

Location: Alaska State Fairgrounds, Purple Gate

The JOY of Freedom Festival is a family-friendly event to raise funds to fight human trafficking. Grammy-nominated IBMA award-winning band Special Consensus headlines two full days of live bluegrass music with a dozen local bands performing on stage with bluegrass jam sessions and workshops throughout the event. An Alaska State barbecue competition, local vendor market, and food truck rally along with a beer garden and a fun array of family-friendly activities will engage and delight guests of all ages as we gather to raise funds to fight human trafficking.

Your ticket purchase for one or both days of the event will support the work of JOY International, an international nonprofit fighting human trafficking in Alaska and around the world. One of our goals for this event is to raise enough funds to support the next level of development for a local safe home for minors in partnership with Home of Hope Alaska.
