The Kabayan Inc. Filipino American Community of Mat-Su is celebrating its 14th anniversary and will be hosting another year celebrating our Filipino culture.
This year, we will showcase the southern part of the Philippines and experience the beautiful colorful Mindanao.
Our cultural dancers will demonstrate the different music and movements that narrates the different tribes of Mindanao.
Kultura Night & Fundraising event will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 6 pm at the Raven Hall, Alaska State Fairgrounds.
Our Annual Fall Gala for Freedom is a time of celebration of the work and achievements from the past year, vision casting for the upcoming year, great food, live testimonies, prize giveaways and silent auction items to bid on.
All donations received from the event go towards the sustaining and advancing of our existing programs as well as serve to offset costs for those needing assistance with treatment.
Sunshine Community Health Clinic is helping Su-Valley collect gym shoes so they can have a range of sizes for students to borrow if they do not have the resources to purchase their own. This will also protect the longevity of the gym floor. Donations can be dropped off at either their Willow or Talkeetna clinic locations.
2023 Miles for Meals on Wheels is WASI’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It is a Fun, run, walk & roll, that will be held virtually June1-24 and in person June 24 at the WASI campus. The event benefits the Meals on Wheels Program and the seniors we serve.
The 5k for Life is a free, family- friendly event. The 5k course runs along the Trunk rd walk-way up to College Rd and back. Early registration is recommended! There will be snacks, drinks, door prizes, and a kid’s play place… including the TODDLER DASH!

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

This year our Spaghetti Dinner & Auction will be held at Mat-Su Career & Tech Highschool 2472 N Seward Meridian Pkwy in Wasilla.
For the last 21 years this Spaghetti Dinner & Auction has been one of our most successful fundraisers.
All proceeds raised at this event goes right back into continuing our sports training and programs for our 200+ Mat-Su athletes.
$10 general admission gets you dinner &/or access to our auctionS.
Dinner is only provided until 7pm! Includes Spaghetti dinner, salad, roll, & beverage.
Auction is 7pm-9pm. We have a $1 Main & Silent Auctions. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR $1 BILLS!
Mat-Su Central Middle School Student Council invites you to share the warmth with those in need. Consider donating to our Winter Coat Drive, November 1- 30.
Clean, gently used coats, hats, gloves, and boots for all ages will be dispersed through Frontline Mission.
A donation drop box is located at Mat-Su Central School in the front office.
Breakfast $12.00 each or $30.00 for 3 or more. All proceeds go toward Five Loaves Two Fish Kitchen Ministries which provides meals to My House Teen Resource Center, Family Promise, Knik Houses, and others in need of nourishment.
Santa will visit 9:00- 10:30 a.m. Bring your camera and take photos with Santa Claus. Start your holiday shopping at the Silent Auction. Cookie decorating for kids. Bring the family and kick off the holiday season.

Halloween Hollow is a fundraiser for Mat-Su Special Santa, this trick-or-treat event now in its 20th year, is fun for the whole family! With over 30 booths to collect candy and play games; this event offers a warm, and safe place to take the kids trick-or-treating! Admission is $6 a person, or 1 new toy, kids 2 and under are free. Online tickets are available for purchase starting on October 1st.
