The SpongeBob Musical will be showing at Glenn Massay Theater from May 21st through June 6th, 2026. Presented in partnership with Concord Theatricals, this A-List production brings SpongeBob and the residents of Bikini Bottom to the stage in a live musical performance for audiences of all ages. To spread awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month and community resources, R.O.C.K. Mat-Su and Community Partners are hosting a Community Connection Carnival!
We will have carnival-themed, family-friendly activities hosted by community partners, and it’s FREE for the whole family to attend!
*Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Community Connection Carnival starts at 2:30 pm and ends at 4:30 pm. We hope to see you there!

This is a book/action club you won’t want to miss! We’ll spend the first hour discussing a book, which will range from gothic vamp stories to repro justice. This first session we’ll be passing out copies of the lesbian goth classic: Carmilla. The second hour will be spent taking action for our community. We’ll be writing and calling our reps to support or oppose bills, phone bank to get out the vote, and more! Join us to make connections with your community and take actions to better it. Parents and caregivers play a powerful role in shaping the future of our communities.
Sign up for our annual Parent Nation Book Club as we explore how strengthening relationships, supporting families, and working together can unlock every child’s potential.
Together, we will explore Parent Nation: Unlocking Every Child’s Potential, Fulfilling Society’s Promise in a supportive and engaging group setting.
Over five weekly sessions, participants will have the opportunity to reflect, share perspectives, and discuss how we can better support children and families in our community.

Sessions will begin the week of April 20, with the specific day determined based on participant availability. Meetings will typically take place from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with the final session occurring the week of May 25.
R.O.C.K. Mat-Su will provide the book and dinner, and all meetings will be held at the Mat-Su Health Foundation conference rooms.
To support meaningful conversation, participation is limited to 12–16 people, so we encourage early registration.

The IDEA Curriculum Fair is the premier homeschool event in Alaska where participants have the opportunity to learn about homeschool products from dozens of homeschool curriculum providers and a wide variety of educational workshops.
Whether enrolled with IDEA or another program, considering homeschool, or your kids attend building-based school, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our public event!
