History & Hope training for parents introduces you to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), explains why ACEs are so adverse, and sheds light on what we can do about it as parents. The training brings together Alaska Native ancestral knowledge of trauma and resilience, Western science, data on social and economic stressors affecting Alaskan families, simple brain-body healing exercises, and promising practices you can introduce in your household. This training provides an introduction to how trauma-informed and culturally-responsive approaches to parenting can shift success.
