COR Virtual Volunteer Training

This is a FREE training for people interested in volunteering with Choosing Our Roots (COR) in all roles available. This training, Day 1 and 2, are also mandatory for all people wanting to volunteer. Please sign up via the link below so that we can share the Zoom information with you!

Host a youth in your home, be a mentor/support to a youth, a host home liaison, a donor, or lots of other unique roles.
**Hosts are needed ASAP for youth currently experiencing homelessness in both Anchorage and MatSu**
Facilitators from COR will engage participants in discussions about the values that shape our work with youth and young adults. Facilitators will also share information related to programming and answer questions about COR’s host home program safely housing LGBTQ+ young people aged 13 to 24 in Mat Su and Anchorage. You can sign up for this training wherever you are in Alaska to get a head start on becoming a host or direct service volunteer. Virtual volunteering is also a possibility!
