Alaska History Discussion Group

Join us for a new series of discussions and lectures focused on the history of Alaska. Talk Alaska history with like-minded people and learn more with expert speakers and the library’s collection of Alaskana.
On October 16th, Library Director Zane Treesh wil;l lead a discussion on mining in the Southcentral Region of Alaska in the Talkeetna mountains. From beginner to expert historian, stop by to talk about mining in Alaska, from the distant past to current times, and give feedback on future topics.
