Dementia is often difficult for an adult to understand; it is even more difficult for a child. Too often children blame themselves when a difficult change occurs. For children who have someone living with dementia in their lives, it can feel like they are losing two people: the person who has dementia and the family member providing the care. In this presentation, we will explore ways to help a child better understand what
is happening and how to cope.
