SUMMARY:Legal Issues for Family Caregivers P2
DESCRIPTION:Guest speaker Eva Khadjinova\, from Alaska Legal Services\, will identify issues faced by caregivers who are concerned about their loved one’s care when caring for them at home is no longer possible. \nWe will explore answers to questions such as: When should we start considering our options? Who can help? When do we need a lawyer? How and when do we pursue a Medicaid Waiver? What are our options if we have too many assets? Join us for this very important discussion. \nJoin either one or both of this two-part class. \nGuest speaker\, Eva Khadjinova\, returns for part two of this discussion to help us examine the legal implications that arise when our loved one no longer has the capacity to sign legal documents\, such as: wills\, power of attorney\, divorce\, property sales\, etc. \nWe will explore and compare different options you may need at some point like guardianship and conservatorship. There will also be an opportunity to discuss any general legal questions you may have. \nFree to attend! Registration required.
