SUMMARY:Nar-Anon
DESCRIPTION:The Nar-Anon Family Groups is primarily for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near to you. We have traveled that unhappy road too\, and found the answer with serenity and peace of mind. Narateen is part of the Nar-Anon program for teens affected by someone else’s addiction.\nWhen you come into the family group\, you are no longer alone\, but among true friends who understand your problem as few others could. We respect your confidence and anonymity as we know you will respect ours. We hope to give you the assurance that no situation is too difficult and no unhappiness is too great to be overcome.\nOur program\, which is not a religious one but a spiritual way of life\, is based on the Twelve Steps of Nar-Anon. We’ve found that the working of these steps will bring the solution to practically any problem. We urge you to take this program and its twelve steps seriously. It has been as helpful to us as the Narcotics Anonymous program is to the addict. We only ask for the wisdom and courage to see ourselves as we really are\, to do something about ourselves with the help of a Higher Power as we understand this\, and for the grace to release our addicts with love and cease trying to change them.\nKeep an open mind and attend as many meetings as possible. Feel free to share during the meeting. You may ask questions after the meeting. You’ll soon make friends and will feel very much a part of the group.\nWith the understanding that addiction is a disease\, and the realization that we are powerless over it\, as well as over other people’s lives\, we are ready to do something useful and constructive with our own. Then\, and only then\, can we be of any help to others.

SUMMARY:Ladies Christmas Camp
DESCRIPTION:Looking for that perfect gift for the lady in your life? Maybe you are the lady and you could really use a YOU day!\nHere on Our Little Farm in Palmer we know the importance of taking care of you\, so join us for our first ever Ladies Camp!\nThat’s right\, it’s a lot like our kids camp but with a couple tweaks.\nCamp starts at 2pm we will ride horses\, learn the basics and go on a trail ride. As the light slowly fades we will put our steeds away and move to our heated shop for dinner (that you don’t have to cook) and beverages. After we settle in and warm our bellies we will set each lady up with our own version of a paint night!\nOur goal is to help you reset and relax in the midst of one of the busiest times of the year.\nOur camp will cost $150 and covers everything!\nNo experience is required but experienced riders are welcome. We will tailor our ride time to the groups needs.\nWe do have limited space available so please contact our farm page to secure your spot.

SUMMARY:We Breathe Again Showing & Messages of Hope
DESCRIPTION:These times are challenging and coming together\, expressing what is real for us\, and finding inspiration are key points of what keeps us growing onward and upward. These will be the focuses of our Wednesday evening event on December 16th from 6-8pm AKST.\nThe evening is going to kick off with a 20-minute message of hope and presentation by our newest team member\, Kikkan Randall\, an inspirational Alaskan figure who has been through a lot and accomplished amazing feats in her Olympic career and beyond!\nWe will then stream our digital copy of “We Breathe Again”\, an incredibly powerful 58-minute documentary following the lives of four Alaskan Natives and how suicide has impacted their lives and how they have risen above.\nOur Board Member and Licensed Clinical Social Worker\, Eileen Davey\, will then bring some closing thoughts on the film and transition into her own message of hope. Eileen is an incredible human with a huge heart and has spent much of her career focusing on suicide prevention and aiding those with overcoming suicidal thoughts.\nIt is so important we work with what we have got and come together in any way we can to speak about\, be real about\, and work through these challenging times! So join Wednesday night for just that! We are so grateful to be partnered with United Way of Mat-Su to be putting together 2 virtual events this month and a handful of small in-person events for vulnerable populations! Our goal is to aid anyone who might be struggling with suicidal thoughts in our community to – See Another Way.
