DESCRIPTION:The Christmas Friendship dinner started in 1991 when Harold Newcomb with the Wasilla Lions Nooners Club came up with six turkeys and asked Bob Bowers to prepare a Christmas meal to be served at the Wasilla Senior Center for people who didn’t have a place to go for Christmas. The tradition has since grown and provides hundreds of meals for community members each season. Available to each and every person in the community\, regardless of need.
