The good news is\, ice fishing is a wonderful gateway to year-round fishing\, and we can tell you all about how to get started!\nThe Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G)\, Division of Sport Fish\, will be hosting a beginner-level online fishing forum titled\, “Ice Fishing 101\,” on the Alaska Department of Fish and Game YouTube channel.\nThe presentation will cover ice fishing basics\, including ice safety\, ice fishing gear\, how to find an appropriate place to fish that meets your needs\, which species are commonly fished for under the ice\, which tackle to use\, and how to find fishing regulations for the areas you are hoping to fish in.
