You will also have the opportunity to register as an event volunteer in the same form. Vendors are encouraged to consider bringing a popup tent and joining our outdoor carnival area. We would love to expand the outdoor area so that families may hang out\, visit booths\, take part in games/activities and make some new friends. Indoor space is also available on a limited basis\, inside the gym. \nVendors are welcome to set up on Monday\, July 27. SUMMARY:Talkeetna Trail Race
DESCRIPTION:The Talkeetna Trail Race (formerly the Bun to Bun) is a 25K race on Talkeetna’s amazing trails\, as well as a 5k-ish stroller and kid friendly race that benefits the kids of Talkeetna. All of the proceeds will go to the Talkeetna Elementary School’s PTA!  \nThe 25K is a trail course and is often muddy and slick in the fall. Terrain varies from 4 wheeler trails to single track and ski trails. The trail is very pretty with all the dangers of rural Alaska. No one under 18 is allowed without an adult running with them. Please be prepared for remote\, wild conditions. Bear spray is encouraged. The 5K-ish race is a stroller and kid friendly race! The earlier you register the easier it is for us to get your correct shirt size! **IF YOU ARE REGISTERING ANYONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF – KNOW THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SIGNING THE WAIVER ON THEIR BEHALF**.  \nThe Talkeetna Trail race was formerly known as the Bun To Bun Trail Race. The race began as a way for the Talkeetna Elementary PTA to encourage healthy activity and to raise money for its Healthy Snack and Salad Bar programs. With our Healthy Snack Program we attempt to expose children to a wide variety of healthy\, nutritious foods. Our Salad Bar Program allows us to offer a free salad bar 2 days a week to all children.
